Republican Wisdom
Here’s an email floating around the web:
I asked my friend’s little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, ‘If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?’
She replied, ‘I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.’
Wow…what a worthy goal.’ I told her, ‘You don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50.
Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.
She thought that over for a few seconds while her Mom glared at me, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ‘Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?I said, ‘Welcome to the Republican Party.’

How do you know that the homeless guy is not working?
Really? Is that seriously what you that we believe? That’s how you’d describe the difference between us? I would say it’s simplistic, but it’s not even close to the same ballpark.
This is what we call a joke. Used to lighten the mood, and draw a smile from readers. So does being a democrat mean you can only handle jokes when they make fun of the other guy? I guess in a way that does fit with Obama’s M.O. He can question others, but when the tables turn he cries foul.
Are you saying that anyone who finds the joke unfunny must be a democrat? Not everything is absolute like that. It’s not about “handling” the joke, but more of how the joke is delivered.
It’s not extremely insulting or “off the wall”, it’s just not funny. And I guess people are getting the impression that you support this kind of view because you are the one that posted it without adding any commentary.
People tend to punish the messenger, not the message. :S
So are you democrat? As for commentary. This is a silly little joke that is simplistic in its view of republicans and democrats. It touches on the idea that democrats want to give money away to people without requiring any effort on their part to earn what has been given them. Personally, I totally disagree with idea of “Redistribution of wealth”. It rewards people for being lazy and discourages people from becoming better. Why work hard, just so that your money can be taken from you and rewarded to the lazy bum next door. People should reap the rewards of their labors. Now that isn’t to say that people in indigent circumstances shouldn’t be helped. We should have the choice to help them. Our freedom to choose to help or not help shouldn’t be taken from us by a government that robs us of the very money we worked hard to get in the first place.
Boo republicans! haha.
McCain needs to realize he has nothing good against obama.. oh yeah the terroist thing worked sooo well! too bad the stupid old turtle is going to lose! Lets say he wins, our country will be in a dirt pile.
I’ll pass, if he is elected im leaving the country!
